Texas Tech SMAT Classes
Chris Flores was accepted into the SMAT art classes at Texas Tech. SMAP provides recognitions and support for aspiring young artists during their formative years. It is an enrichment program that furnishes art experiences and educational opportunity the visual arts for talented high school students from Lubbock and the South Plains. This is a great opportunity for students to further their exposure to art – making. SMAP is supported and funded by the Helen Jones Foundation, Texas Tech University College of Visual and Performing Arts and the School of Art. Selection to this program is an honor limited to only 21 students within our region.

Varsity Boys - Evan Paez-2nd. Lady Mules are District Champions and advance to Regionals next Monday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
UIL Region 16 Marching Band Contest Winners
The Mighty Marching Band won 1st Division in the UIL Region 16 Marching Band Contest. Area competition is Saturday at Lowery Field in Lubbock.
Region Choir Results
Congrats to 13 of our high school choir students that auditioned for Region Choir.
Everyone from Muleshoe HS earned high rankings of 17th chair or higher. Four of our students made the Region Choir and earned alternate for the Area auditions, which is the final audition round for All-state Choir.

TASA/TASB Student Art Exhibit
Congratulations to Emily Precure for being selected to be in the TASA / TASB student art exhibit. Each year, TAEA presents an exhibit of Prek-12th artwork from across the state at the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards Fall conference. Selected TASA / TASB art will be displayed at TEA (Texas Education Agency).
The 2015 conference will be held October 2 - 4 in Austin.
Class 3A Built Ford Tough Texas High School Player of the Week
Congratulations to Danny Campos for being selected as the Class 3A Built Ford Tough Texas High School Player of the Week in week 5. This award is due to a super TEAM effort last Friday night against Kermit. This award is not won easily and is only given out to 11 players in class 3A during a football season.
