District Cross Country Meet Results
The Mules and Lady Mules competed at the District Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park. JV Boys- 1st-Malachi Rodriquez, 5th-Josh Mata. JV Girls won the meet with 5 of the 7 girls placing in the top ten. The JV girls team are Ruby Regalado, Jazmin Arellano, Brianna Barron, Lilli Barrera, Blanca Ramirez, Brianna Velaquez, and Richarda Elizalde.
Varsity Girls - Jazmine Garza placed 8th with a time of 13:38 which advanced her to the regional meet. Other members of the varsity team are Mireya Ruvulcaba, Yvonne Diaz, Dani Diaz, Aimee Rosas, Cassidy Cage, and Noemi Herrera. Varsity Boys included Michael Lozano, Christian Paez, Noah Del Toro and Evan Paez. Evan Paez placed 1st with a time of 17:09. Jazmine and Evan will compete in Lubbock on October 31st at the Regional Cross Country meet.

TASB/TASA Convention Art Exhibit
Congratulations to Allegra Mora! Her art work," Simba", was accepted into the Superintendents and School Board annual meeting and exhibit in Austin. Allegra used a mixed media of watercolor, charcoal and pastel to complete her art work of Simba, her beloved cat. This is an annual exhibit that is judged by a panel of judges. Art from all of the state of Texas is entered and around 50 pieces are picked to be in the exhibit. This exhibit occurs during September each year in conjunction with the TASB/TASA Convention. The Art Exhibit is part of the celebration of Youth Art Month for the Texas Art Educators Association (TAEA)
